Geologist with extensive experience in supervision of drilling and test pumping, geological data analysis and field campaign management. Holding an Honours degree in Geology from the University of Johannesburg. I am a self-motivated, disciplined individual with a desire and passion to learn and actively seeks to become a well-rounded earth scientist.I have experience in drilling and test pumping supervision in both rotary mud and sonic drilling technology. Drilling included Exploration/Monitoring, Production, and Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) boreholes that target a shallow primary aquifer (the Cape Flats Aquifer) within an urban environmental setting. I have been involved in the siting and design of well fields, that has included the production of groundwater and implementation of MAR. In addition, I have minor experience on air percussion drilling targeting fractured rock aquifers (Table Mountain Group Aquifer). As part of the Cape Flats project, I have dealt with logging of geological core samples, test pumping analysis using Aqtesolv and FC Program, and hydrochemistry analysis of groundwater. I have undertaken numerous components of project management relating to drilling projects, including database design and management, team supervision of technical staff, design and execution of monitoring field campaigns, report writing, client and sub-contractor liaison. I have been accepted as a Professional Natural Scientist with SACNASP and a member of the Groundwater Division of South Africa.
