As an Acting Director for PALcares, a small non-profit start-up, I provide comprehensive support with a focus on data analytics/management, product design, and data governance. As a Team Lead with AltaML's Applied AI Lab, I leveraged my experience in programming, classical machine learning, cloud computing, and client relations to lead a team in delivering cutting-edge ML solutions. My responsibilities ranged from overseeing the development lifecycle, managing client relationships and providing mentorship and training to 5 cohorts of associate ML developers.This role was a highlight in my career. I am a strong believer in using data and its related tools to empower local communities, and have tried to dedicate a portion of my skills to volunteer work in the non-profit sector. I have utilized industry standard data techniques to analyze donations, evaluate program effectiveness, and examine marketing campaign results. I am grateful to be able to use my skills in this way and for the opportunity to better understand the critical work being done in this sector.

As an Associate Machine Learning Developer for AltaML, I headed a proof-of-concept unsupervised learning use case. The project was focused on customer segmentation within the financial industry. Given the newness of the project, I had the opportunity to work on each step of the process, from the data collection and feature engineering, to the model training and pipeline implementation. From the beginning, I focused on developing clean, structured, and version-controlled code while working witthin client's development environment and tool stack.We were lucky to have weekly status updates with our industry partners throughout the project. In these presentations, our team worked to communicate the business and technical value of the work to audiences with mixed levels of expertise.

- Preparation of Hazardous area classification reports and corresponding layout drawings in accordance to NFPA and Canadian Electrical Code standards.- Creating and updating Excel automated calculations sheets to streamline the design and organization of Fugitive Emissions Studies, Cable Schedules, Tray Fill Listings etc.- Modeling of facility power distributions using ETAP to preform basic power flow, Short Circuit Analysis, Arc Flash Studies and Protective Device Coordination.- Preparation of reports and corresponding research centered around Provincial Energy programs, such as the SaskPower Efficiency Partner program.

Electrical Engineering Experience:- Onsite electrical construction supervision.- Preparing electrical engineering calculations and drawings including some of the following: Electrical Load List, SLD, Cable Schedule, Voltage Drop, Control Schematics, Arc Flash Studies, Device Coordination, Control Panel Drawings, Layout Drawings, etc.- Preparing construction packages, operation manuals, and data books for Electrical Engineer approval. - Assisting in the operation and maintenance of Tundra’s library by organizing and maintaining project-related files, records, drawings, and correspondence and complete suitable archiving and storage of all completed projects.- Assisting with the specification and procurement of electrical and control equipment. Prepare bid specifications, bid comparisons, and produce recommendations for purchase.Control System Engineering Experience: - Commissioning and Start-Up of hydrocarbon processing facilities.- Preparing control system drawings and documentation including some of the following: Shutdown Keys, Control Narratives, Network Topologies, etc.- Participating in HAZOP studies as a point of contact for both control and electrical engineering. - Programming of PLCs and RTUs using ladder logic including the programming and design of the related SCADA or HMI systems.

Designed and programmed the control system used to regulate the movement of a kinetic GNSS tester and collect real-time data using onboard sensors. The system included a custom built voltage regulator with onboard battery backup and motor controller with overload protection. Control system programming was done in C++ with data analysis done using MATLAB integration.
