As a Picker and Packer for Petershams Millinery Supply, my main responsibility was to work efficiently to fulfil customers’ orders of hats and hat-related accessories both accurately and on time. I worked in a double story warehouse where I was tasked to pick orders using customer invoices to identify the product and used my own familiarity of the space to search for them. I ensured quality control by inspecting the items to guarantee customer satisfaction and company standards were met. In addition to this, I packed the orders placed with the company and maintained the online stock keeping system to certify that listings were up to date on all company platforms, as well as coordinating with Royal Mail to arrange the dispatch of orders to be delivered around the world which furthered my ability to work well within a deadline heavy environment, and working and collaborating with my colleagues established a good workflow and enhanced my communication skills.
