I am a bilingual licensed social worker who has over ten years in the social service field, particularly in Supportive Housing, Education, OPWDD services, and OMH. I feel strongly about advocacy, team work, equality, and social justice. I am also a big supporter of the LGBTQ community. I utilize a diverse cognitive behavioral approach with an incorporation of holistic methods and DBT. I utilize the individuals strengths and engage in solution focused treatment. I have experience with children and adults, ages 4-85 who have experienced the following: Trauma, Cognitive/Behavioral challenges, ADHD, Anxiety, Substance Abuse, Depression, BiPolar D/O, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Boderline Personality D/O, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Adjustment D/O, Schizophrenia, history of homelessness. My person center approach, harm reduction techniques, and ability to tailor my communication style based on the needs of the individual creates a safe and comforting environment that encourages communication without any judgement.
