I’m a remote Instructional Designer living in Scotland and a Specialist Wellness Counsellor. As a queer, neurodiverse person, my passion for mental health and queer rights drives both my work and advocacy. My background spans Psychology, programme evaluation, social science research, teaching, curriculum development and design, e-learning, and counselling. This wide-ranging experience has given me a unique, transferable skillset that I’m eager to apply in academic research and educational content creation focused on mental health and LGBTQ+ advocacy. With plans to pursue a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I am seeking opportunities to collaborate on academic papers, work as an assistant clinical psychologist, and connect with academics and practising psychologists for mentorship, as well as gain further insight into the UK mental health and education systems. My wife and our dog Ziggy are my greatest joys. I love cosy rainy days at home, wildflowers, enjoying ice cream (no matter the weather!), the smell of new books, and indulging in some reality TV (but you didn’t hear that from me).
