As a project lead at EBW, I plan and manage publishing projects, working with our team of publishing specialists and developers on book, ebook, and web production and design. I oversee the creation of books from manuscript to web deployment and print, and am responsible for quality assurance and communication with our clients throughout the book production process.I'm passionate about visual communication, which has lead me to work on user experience and web design for many of our projects. I create wireframes and interactive prototypes for our websites in Figma, and use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create marketing assets, book covers, mockups, and artwork for a range of projects.

I am passionate about language and interaction. Producing valuable, researched, and engaging content on a wide range of subject matters is what excites me, and I love to help others do the same through editing, proofreading, and contributing ideas.Since my first year, I have written and sub-edited for UCT''s VARSITY newspaper, producing both online and digital content. For my second year, I have also joined the team of writers at the Her Campus collective. I also participated in the UCT Debating Union for the South African National University Debating Championship of 2018.Studying Mandarin has broadened my ideas and interests immensely. I have been able to travel to China for a short course in Chinese Studies thanks to the Cape Town Confucius Institute's cultural exchange programme, inspiring my writing on history, travel, food and culture. My English studies have informed my views on South Africa's history, politics, and society and given me renewed appreciation for our country's literary culture. Studying philosophy and history has developed both my research skills and my interest in ethics.

Since 2017 I have tutored primary and high school learners through the Teach Me 2 agency in subjects ranging from English and Afrikaans to Biology and Visual Art. I have volunteer experience in teaching young children both in South Africa at Miracle Kidz Safe-house and in St Petersburg, Russia. I create the content that my students will engage with each lesson and try to take on both a supportive and motivational role in their academic lives. I take immense pride and satisfaction in seeing a student make breakthroughs in areas that they are struggling with or that they want to improve.

While studying, I have worked as a sales assistant and promoter for the Pradiance range of Tocara Skin and Body Science. I love to engage with customers about products that I am excited about and which I believe will bring value to their lives.Previously, from 2015-2017, I worked as a sales assistant and jeweller's apprentice in design and silver-smithing at Hombisa Jewellery in Stellenbosch. Additionally, I worked part-time as a sales consultant at Kendal Mica Hardware (Feb-June 2017 ) in their art department.
