I'm fascinated by language. I get excited about using smart and beautiful design to solve problems. I love collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and experts to create something new.I lead a a variety of production and tech projects at Electric Book Works, where our focus is on strategic publishing for projects that do good in the world — usually through creating accessible books in education and research. My responsibilities include client communication, project planning, documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control, as well as briefing and managing our production team and freelance partners. I care about being a reliable team member and leader, and actively seek out opportunities to train and assist our team in making their workflows more effective.At the same time, my interest in visual design has lead me to explore user experience and take on UX design work within our projects. I work closely with our developers and production team to create websites that users love, and take pride in presenting our work to clients. In 2024, I completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate, which comprises seven courses covering the complete the design process, including understanding accessibility, researching and empathizing with users to define their pain points, ideating design solutions, creating wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma, and testing designs to get feedback.
