Associate Vice President, Secondary And Capital Markets
Current- Leads MBA’s secondary and capital markets policy and regulatory advocacy program, manages the preparation of comment letters and other regulatory advocacy communications, and develops policy positions and regulatory advocacy strategies.- Actively tracks the activities of FHFA, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, The Federal Home Loan Banks, and Ginnie Mae and is responsible for analysis of regulations, policy changes, and legislation affecting the government-sponsored enterprises, agency securities markets, private-label markets, and U.S. capital markets to assess the impact on MBA members and the housing finance system. - Leads and coordinates activities for the Secondary and Capital Markets Committee and REIT Executive Council. Provides support to other MBA committees and network groups including the Residential Board of Governors and MBA’s business segment-related communities and networks.- Supports the development of content on key housing and secondary and capital markets policy issues for MBA Education and MBA’s conference programs. Work includes webinar development on key policy issues and content development for the Annual Convention, the IMB Conference, the National Advocacy Conference, and the Secondary and Capital Markets Conference.- Engages with key agency officials, regulators, GSE staff, legislative staff, sister trade associations, and other housing finance policy stakeholders.- Regularly speaks at public events on issues related to secondary and capital markets policy and housing finance.
