As a co-founder at The House of Malico I’ve been many roles including creative director, project manager, and contributor to core organizing, program development, and grant writing. Our mission is to foster collaborations that cultivate communities of artists and entrepreneurs dedicated to cultural progression.Within our full-scale production studio, we produce films, photography, prints, sound, interdisciplinary artistry, and social practice experiences. Our team collaborates closely with clients to create captivating content and public engagements that effectively connect the intended market to the product. Our social practice serves as a pivotal medium to connect and build creative communities. We design public programs that encourage collaborative engagement, fostering environments filled with intimate conversations, interactive activities, and joy. Whether through cultural conferences, independent music concert series, or rejuvenating retreats, our events empower participants to embody their own creative expressions.Our works and curated experiences have reached international and local audiences across the Oakland Bay Area, Hawai‘i, NYC, and Shanghai. Installations have been featured in publications such as The Fader, Lei Culture, Paper Magazine, and East Bay Express. The House of Malico has been recognized as one of YBCA's Top 100 creative influencers. Our exhibitions and features at institutions including the Oakland Museum of California, Contact Hawai‘i 2018, Hawai‘i International Film Festival (2017 & 2018), Queer Brilliance Film Festival, T-Galleria by DFS, SomArts, Afro Futurist Conference at the New School, Berkeley Museum of Art, and Pacific Film Archive have resonated with diverse audiences.Our steadfast mission is to cultivate progressive communities and create a platform that supports artists, entrepreneurs, and cultural evolution.

Sumi's Touch is a dynamic and pioneering resource and education hub dedicated to empowering birth workers, parents, and birthing individuals. As a key member of the Sumi's Touch team, I played a vital role in revolutionizing the birthing experience. My responsibilities included producing the highly sought-after Full Spectrum Birth Worker Apprenticeship—an innovative program that seamlessly combined in-person and online coursework. Through this groundbreaking initiative, I took on a multifaceted role of delivering an intuitive user experience, I led the development of the program's backend, ensuring a smooth and easeful learning journey for participants. Moreover, I contributed to the creation of all video content for the course, assuming the roles of co-director and project manager. Collaborating with a talented team of graphic designers and a film crew, I leveraged my expertise in visual storytelling and instructional design to co-craft engaging and impactful videos that brought Sumi’s Touch’s curriculum to life. In addition, I played an integral part in the development and management of Virtual Circle—an exclusive membership platform meticulously crafted to foster connection, growth, and collaboration among a diverse community of healers, parents, and entrepreneurs. By incorporating cutting-edge digital forums, curated niche topic groups, and engaging events, we cultivated an inclusive space where individuals could build valuable relationships, exchange insights, and ignite transformative change.In close collaboration with Sumi's Touch's visionary CEO, I played a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic planning, marketing initiatives, and business scaling efforts. By actively contributing to high-level decision-making processes, I helped drive the organization's growth and positioned it as a trailblazer in the birth worker industry.
