As the founding product team member, I hired and built out product as a discipline at Urban Airship, growing the team to 10+ product managers and designers. Responsible for all aspects of the product lines, from road map to specifications and contributions towards go-to-market. * Managed growth in product usage and revenue in excess of 100% every year including tens of thousands of developer accounts and hundreds of enterprise accounts including Gannett, Disney, News Corp, ESPN, Starbucks, Red Box, NBC, Mailbox, Groupon, and more.* Key contact for Apple and Google product development and evangelism teams. Led demo efforts for Urban Airship presentations at Google I/O 2013.* Built the internal proof-of-concept for location-based push that directly led to the SimpleGeo acquisition and the location product line. Took over the sample code used for integrating Urban Airship services and led development of the iOS SDK.* Shipped multiple releases as the principal developer and manager for all SDK projects including off-shore development management. * Wrote mission critical code and architecture that is still in use today in around 1 billion app installations including keychain management, analytics event recording, and many core libraries.* Hired the mobile team and established core design and principles behind mobile development for Urban Airship.* Contributed directly to customer apps, including Subatomic Studios' runaway hit Fieldrunners.

Hired and established a mobile team focused on hospitality apps as well as key contracts for development including Telus and Blacks in Canada.* Responsible for all aspects of mobile development including rapid prototyping for bid-to-win contracts.* Built foundational code for Starwood, Telus, and Blacks apps under contract.* Personnel management and staffing for a completely new office in two months.* Technical oversight of R&D efforts for hospitality guest preference proof-of-concept work.

Co-founded an iOS app company in pursuit of app glory in the days of iOS 2 & 3.* Raised friends and family money, as well as self-funded development efforts.* Involved in all aspects of founding a new company.* Principal developer for CraigSearch, an iOS search app that would send you a push notification when someone published an item that matched your saved searches.* Architected a distributed algorithm that used other app installations to do organic searching with no centralized crawling, resulting in a 65% coverage rate for craigslist postings.* Achieved 500,000 downloads in the iOS App Store, with in-app purchase and ad revenue.
