As the head of communications & partnerships for PARIS21, I'm working with partners in over 100 countries to strengthen the role of data & statistics in sustainable development.Hosted by the OECD, PARIS21 is a partnership between the UN, the European Commission, the OECD, the IMF and the World Bank.

My remit is global and includes strategic oversight of content, stakeholder engagement, marketing, and digital community building. I'm putting the pieces of this puzzle together to build a larger and more engaged global network where everyone - from heads of state to stay-at-home-mums - can find meaning and inspiration in their interactions with IRENA.

Leading a team of seven, I directed communications for the UNV Global Programmes, a four-year initiative to develop joint projects in more than eighty countries. By building extensive networks of UN, government and private sector partners, and ensuring that UNV communications championed the impact of the agency’s work, I helped to raise nearly US$160 million in programme funds.

FSC is the world’s largest responsible forest certification agency and its membership comprises mining and forestry companies, NGOs, and trade unions and indigenous groups. Finding common ground among them was not always easy, but by focusing on shared values, joint achievements, and open and frank dialogue, I and my team of seven were able to create compelling stories of responsible forest management that led to a stronger sense of joint purpose.

Directed and implemented IFAW’s European web strategy, with a remit that included social networks, blogs, e-mail, mobile communications, and six websites. Created award-winning marketing and communications campaigns that were seen by tens of millions of people. Dressed up like a whale to (successfully) convince more than 100 ministers of parliament to support legislation to protect cetaceans.

I helped turn an environmental expedition organization for 16-24 year-olds whose image was boring and overly scientific into one that was young, fun, and where you’re guaranteed an experience you’ll never forget.
