Windy City Cannabis was where I got my start in the Illinois Cannabis Industry. I started out working at whichever location I was needed at, that day. I finally settled in at the Justice location.The environment was fun and laid-back. That was how our patients liked it. I caught on very quickly. I am a fast learner, and am aware that I learn through experience. I already possessed a treasure chest of knowledge on cannabis, but I had SO much to learn. I was already fluent with POSs... After shadowing a couple of veteran budtenders, I felt confident in myself. I began to know patient's by name, as soon as they walked in the door. They got to know me by name.My Cannabis knowledge grew exponentially!As someone who experienced working strictly with medical patients. Getting them registered them at the dispensary (in 'the system'), as the ONLY dispensary they could visit... to rolling out being able to switch patient dispensary designation within less than an hour.. to recreational legalization, AND then ALSO working through a corporate buyout and remodel. Becoming an essential worker in a whole pandemi- I feel as though I grew a lot with the cannabis industry in my time with WCC.I can safely say, Windy City Cannabis is a one-of-a-kind company to work for. They have BOTH their customers AND employees best interest in mind.-Persuaded fellow employees to try the latest strain, cultivator, edible form, cannabinoid isolation, cannabis related gadget to pass through the dispensary. While keeping my product knowledge current. -Developed a strategy of researching all strains on the menu, until I didn't have to look them up anymore. It became additionally beneficial in driving KPIs. People liked knowing what else the different strains could do, making them purchase more units per transaction, resulting in a larger total transaction amount.-Pushed the products that were about to need to be destructed next, with the intent of making money, instead of losing it.
