Throughout the school year, I work part-time, and throughout summers - full-time. Over my time here, I have worked on several projects: 1. Debiased Machine Learning for EconomicsIndividual research, June 2023 - current; research advisor: Prof. Whitney Neweya) estimated the error caused by the penalty term in lasso regressions;b) summarized and modeled strategies and algorithms to estimate and decrease the error;c) implemented computer-based simulations using R programming language;d) conducted a comparative analysis of data estimation algorithms’, their errors and efficiency.2.Funding for Ukraine’s RecoveryCollaborative team research, summer 2023; research advisor: Prof. Simon Johnsona)collected and analyzed existing proposals regarding funding for Ukraine’s recovery;b) assessed risks and benefits of suggested approaches;c) estimated, mapped and summarized existing resources;d) recommended economical, legal, and administrative frameworks for funding Ukraine’s recovery.3. Game Theory Model of Informational WarIndividual research, summer 2024; research advisor: Prof. Muhamet Yildiza) developed a model designed to analyze strategic interaction between two states competing for international audience’s support through events reporting;b) provided an analysis of theory-based equilibrium states and their potential applications;c) authored a class paper on the topic.

That is a volunteering position on top of my studies and internships. Mriya is a non-profit registered as a response to russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Mriya ships humanitarian and medical aid to Ukraine. Over the first few months of our work, being just a team of 4 students, we fundraised for and sent to Ukraine over $50,000 worth of supplies, and by now, the number is a lot higher.For more information, please, visit our website: mriya-ua.org .In this position, I:● ensured continued and smooth operations of the team;● built and managed successful and reliable international supply chains through 5+ countries, including a country in the state of war;● established a wide network of Ukrainian volunteers on the ground, US-based volunteers for Ukraine, and Ukrainian defenders and first-responders;● established collaboration between Mriya and multiply Ukrainian student groups in colleges across US (Northwestern, Princeton, Tufts, Northeastern, more) to host on-campus events;● negotiated, ran, and managed fundraising events;● spent the summer of 2022 and January (IAP) 2023 in Kyiv, Ukraine successfully volunteering on the ground under constant air raid alerts, war-time stress and uncertainty (the rest of the time I have been volunteering from Boston while being a college student).

I created and taught introductory Economics and Strategy curriculums to high school students during 2-week intensive summer camps and helped to mentor students’ project development.
