As a Business Developer at Attero, I lead the development of new projects from concept to execution. My role involves creating business cases, market development, securing commercial contracts, obtaining permits, and identifying the most suitable technologies. I ensure everything is in place for the start of construction. My primary focus at Attero is on the production of biomethane through the digestion of agricultural streams, a new and exciting area for the company. This includes working with manure and exploring innovative feedstocks like Silphie, a highly sustainable dual-purpose crop that can produce both green gas and renewable fibers. A few years ago, I transitioned from weather and climate advisory to the waste and recycling industry. I began my career in this field as a marketing and strategy consultant for Waste Treatment Technologies (WTT), a company that designs and builds organic waste treatment facilities worldwide, and provides upgrades and customer support for existing plants. WTT is committed to sustainability and innovation, helping to close the loop by giving waste new life. Before joining WTT, I was Business Developer and General Manager at Weather Impact BV, a company providing agribusinesses with reliable weather and climate (change) information. I managed Weather Impact from its founding in 2014, and was responsible for business development, building a global network of strategic partners and clients, and overseeing the development of our weather and agricultural advisory platform. I also led projects across Europe and Africa.I hold a PhD in climate science, where I researched uncertainties in climate projections, focusing on extreme precipitation and discharge changes in the Rhine basin. My expertise lies in bridging science and society, making complex scientific concepts accessible to non-specialists.I’m passionate about working with companies that are committed to creating a positive environmental impact. With strong analytical skills, independence, excellent communication abilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset, I thrive in environments where sustainability and innovation are key priorities.
Listed skills include Climate Change, Hydrology, Environmental Science, Sustainability, and 14 others.

For Weather Impact I have worked as business developer from the day the company was founded. In this role I was responsible for acquiring new projects and maintaining and expanding our network. In addition I acted as general manager, and was responsible for the day-to-day business of Weather Impact.
Working on EU FP7 ECLISE (Enabling Climate Information Services for Europe). Within this project I develop an uncertainty guideline to support local climate services. We are also writing a best practices document based on the experience of both research institutes and local stakeholders in 20+ case studies,
My PhD research was interdisciplinary combining analysis on climate model output and analysis on the use of model output by, for example, watermanagers. The simulations of climate models for precipitation and temperature are compared for mean and extremes in the Rhine river basin. The output of this analysis is used in a hydrological model to get insight in possible changes in extreme discharges and the uncertainty of these changes. The output of this analysis can be used as support information for the development of climate adaptation strategies. Climate model output usually has large uncertainties, therefore, this research also focuses on ways to develop adaptation strategies under large uncertainties.
