I help startups and scaleups differentiate and scale through innovative business design, marketing & strategy.Having had over a decade working as both an intrapreneur and entrepreneur leading product development, marketing, and innovation teams inside international companies and startup environments, I know first-hand the struggles of getting products to market and building viable business models and brands to support them. ​Throughout my career, I've successfully managed dozens of new products, brands and businesses from startup to multi-million dollars per year in revenue. I have a first class honours degree in marketing, and have also been trained in design thinking, design sprints and workshop facilitation techniques through top institutes and training bodies including IDEO, Google Ventures, and Strategyzer. ​I have a collaborative and inclusive style to my work. In this role I had sole responsibility for conceptualising and developing a new brand, and product range - Mad Millie. The role was multifaceted and I was responsible for running the brand as a small business unit, meaning I was heavily involved in all aspects of running a business. The brand is now distributed and sold in Europe, the UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and is arguably the leader in its niche. As part of my role I was responsible for: - Marketing: Branding, communications, and marketing strategy. - New Product Development: Recipe development, product trials and consumer testing. - Sales: Involved in forecasting, pricing, selling directly to a number of accounts large international accounts, running presentations and training seminars at sales conferences and later, managing a Mad Millie sales team. - Product sourcing and costing analyses: Sourcing products from around the world and working with international suppliers to ensure we had the best products at the best possible price. - Management: As the brand grew, I was responsible for the management of four full time staff members as well as a number of part time staff and contract workers.
