Links Fiji is a not for profit that I founded, health care and education is what we do. In terms of health care our key focus is on womens health. We find that in remote villages women do not place a high value on their own health, they do not understand why they need regular pap smears or simply cannot afford a bus fare to the local health centre.We work with local teams in Fiji to go out to these remote villages and test for cervical cancer by conducting pap smears. We also educate women on safe sex. We visit each village we support every two years.We also test men and women for diabetes and high blood pressure which are at epidemic levels.
