As an SLP, I have 17 years of diverse experience with an expertise in adult neuro rehabilitation and advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of dysphagia.I started my own private practice offering specialized medical speech pathology services in April 2022.During my time as SLP, Sr. for HealthSouth, I managed the inpatient speech therapy department while growing the program to include the opening of an outpatient speech department. I established a new FEES program, including infection control procedures which successfully passed a JCHO survey. Additionally, I participated on the HealthSouth dysphagia team to write policies for FEES company-wide.I was selected to champion a new Parkinson’s DSC inpatient program in 2013, which became one of the first JCHO certified Parkinson’s DSC inpatient rehab programs in the U.S. on Sept 15, 2015.My skill set has also led me to be chosen repeatedly to provide education to both professionals and families for DSC programs, CEU events, community support groups, media, and seminars.I am currently furthering my skillset in head/neck cancer, Parkinson's, memory care, and FEES.Above all, I have a legitimate passion in serving those with disabilities and assisting them not only in improving their independence, but also quality of life.
