• Thesis Title: Variability in stress, fracture and key coal reservoir parameters in the Walloon Subgroup, Surat Basin.Achievements:
• Analysed conventional wireline logs, borehole image logs, and core data to examine coal lithotype and composition relationship with the gas properties (adsorption capacity, gas saturation) and fracture abundance.
• Developed a qualitative relationship between the present-day stress and fracture character interpreted from borehole image logs (50+ wells) that explains the variation of reservoir permeability observed in the Coal.
• Presented research findings in international conferences such as SPE Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Conference, Jakarta, Indonesia and Foundation CMG Summit 2017, Calgary, Canada.
