My current research project, FaWBChaLT, at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB) focuses on developing wide bandgap chalcopyrite, Cu(In, Ga)(Se/S)2 - based materials which acts as top cell solar absorber materials for the next generation tandem solar cells. During this project the design perspectives are made involving these wide bandgap chalcopyrites combining with Silicon and low bandgap CIGSe technologies. This FaWBChaLT project is funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions by European Commission.

Conceptualized thin film wide bandgap Cu(In,Ga)Se2 chalcopyrite-based solar cells for tandem solar cell application combining with Si solar cell technology. Critically reviewed the chalcopyrite materials level deposition challenges, adapted solar cell designs and identified limitations. Future prospects are made to realize practical solar cell designs experimentally.
