Taking up issues with supplier and ensuring CAPA is implemented.• Carrying out CQI-9 (Heat Treatment System Assessment) audit, Plating, CED and Paint process audit at supplier end• Carrying out activities for execution of quality improvement projects• Ensuring documentation and report preparation pertaining to metallurgy lab• Develop work instructions for metallurgical lab activities to standardize quality inspector activities and drive improvement.• Maintaining the metallurgy lab effectively and ensure compliance to lab processes.• Carrying out Aspect Impact study related to lab activities as per the ISO requirements Parts Handled: Castings, Forgings, Sheet metals, Heat treated parts, Welding and Brazing Jointed

• Conducting mechanical and metallurgical testing on incoming Raw material, In house Heat treated parts and final product to ensure their quality.• Support in new product development by conducting testing of new product / material • Analyses product failure data and laboratory test results to determine cause of problems and develop solutions.• Tracking and monitoring the furnace validation process • Carrying out In-house furnace audit based on CQI-9 (Heat Treatment System Assessment) for continuous furnace.• Ensuring documentation and report preparation pertaining to metallurgy lab• Develop work instructions for metallurgical lab activities to standardize quality inspector activities and drive improvement.• Maintaining the metallurgy lab effectively and ensure compliance to lab processes.• Train quality inspectors on mechanical, metallurgical testing and metallograpic practices • Carrying out activities for execution of quality improvement projects• Handling customer audits.
