Oversee New Product Development, Process Improvement, Recycling & Sustainability Activities, and New Project Feasibility Studies at Qatar Steel.Collect and monitor Sustainability/ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) KPIs for Qatar Steel, reporting them in internal BSC Review meetings and to external stakeholders such as CARES, ResponsibleSteel, GRI, and the World Steel Association.Coordinate the annual sustainability report release, including data collection from various departments, reviewing submitted data, collaborating with external consultants on draft preparation, and obtaining sign-off from different departments and top management for timely release.Liaise with external auditors during sustainability audits ( CARES Sustainable Construction Steel Certification and BES 6001 certification audits), and ResponsibleSteel certification audits to improve ratings and implement recommendations.Monitor all Sustainability Road Map objectives and action plans/initiatives, ensuring effective management and implementation by respective departments.Serve as the focal point for research projects initiated within Qatar Steel in collaboration with external institutions.Capture customer needs and feedback on new products during visits with the Sales and Marketing team to enhance customer satisfaction.Promote and present new products at conferences and traders’ meetings alongside the marketing team.Collaborate with project teams to design and conduct research experiments involving laboratory or industrial trials related to iron and steelmaking,by-product utilization, etc., as part of research project identification and execution.Prepare and propose annual budget figures related to Sustainability Management at Qatar Steel.
