 Responsible for on-time Product development for New project deliveries. Responsible for parts development through APQP process along with Supplier Quality Assurance team.  Source identification for New product development in the commodity of Sheet metal, Castings, Plastic and Rubber, Proprietary. Sending RFQ to the vendor and obtaining quotes from them. Carrying out Zero based costing of parts before finalizing purchase price part costing and Budgeting based on market analyses, competitors benchmarking & customer needs, to meet the QCD targets. Understanding manufacturing process and carrying out cost reduction and productivity improvements. Assuring the performance of the vendors based on various criteria’s such as quality systems, rejections, quality improvement rate, costing, and timely delivery etc. Evaluating the supplier capacity to meet the Ramp-up / Ramp-down of production volumes. Implementing Design / specification change in regular supply parts in targeted time span through Engineering change management as per requirement of Quality and Cost. Coordinating with the Logistics team for the timely delivery of goods to manufacturing plants. Establishment of LOT size, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) sign-off with suppliers. Coordinating with Design team through VA/VE approach for commonisation of parts through standardization for variety reduction
