Our IT infrastructure is primarily Microsoft's Windows 2016 Hyper-V virtual machine server technology with Active Directory. I manage, secure and maintain our high speed networks including VoIP WAN. The desktop computing environment is Windows 8.1 and 10 Professional with MS Office 2016 Professional accessing a variety of health care and social services related software packages. Other duties include administering Exchange 2016 with mobile devices, our WEB\HTTPS services, endpoint anti-malware protection, enterprise backup & Disaster Recovery solutions, MSSQL administration and help desk functions.

TECHNICAL CONSULTANT. Primary responsibility was UNIX Storage Administrator for Oracle database systems. Duties included working with the DBAs and storage vendors to manage the railroad’s large database space. Here I configure the EMC Symmetrix 5500s and Hitachi 7700Es large storage arrays. Other responsibilities included implementing Veritas's Dynamic Multi-Pathing on mission critical storage arrays, monitoring enterprise backups and providing DRP for these databases. SENIOR UNIX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR. Primary responsibility was managing the enterprise mid-tier backups. This backup configuration consisted of utilizing Legato's Networker product with multiple storage nodes which housed large Oracle database systems connected to a StorageTek 9710 Silo configured with the DLT7000 tape drives. Other responsibilities included working with project teams to build and manage various UNIX servers running the Solaris and Tru64 operating systems, evaluating new software products and complete DRP for the enterprise mid-tier systems.

I assisted a health care claims processing company in Atlanta with implementing the Tivoli/IBM Systems Management software (TME) on the SUN Solaris platform. My primary responsibilities included publishing the Tivoli System Architecture Document and team lead for their enterprise software distribution and support groups. Other projects involved evaluating an integrated electronic file transfer system.

Career Highlight: I was hired to implement the Operations Center's 1st Client Server Architecture. This architecture made it possible for the computer operator's to utilize multiple windows to monitor and administer the IBM 3270 mainframe architecture. Sun's Solaris UNIX, desktops and servers interfaced directly with the IBM IO channels. This gave the operators the ability to run multiple consoles to many mainframes and manage the mainframe peripherals.Soon afterwards GTE designed and implemented a Customer Service application using client server architecture.SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER. Responsibilities included participating in a team to test, certify, document and integrate client/server products to be used as standard infrastructure. Some of these products included: • Tivoli Systems system management environment; • Open*Vision Netbackup/Volume Manager distributed client/server backup software; • Domain Name Service (DNS) Host/IP/Mail address management software; SYSTEMS ENGINEER. One of a team of System Administrators responsible for installing, documenting and supporting a large UNIX client/server platform. This platform supported the GTE Customer Marketing and Service System (CMSS). SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER. Here I designed, implemented and deployed the GTE Data Services Customer Support Center’s client/server system at four Information Processing Centers with the assistance from the SUN professional Service Team. This system provided the customer representatives with access to all applications needed to perform their support role. The system interfaced to other platforms such as IBM MVS operating system, the Tandem system, DEC and Automatic Call Distribution systems. Responsibilities included performing site surveys and meeting with project teams who would be involved with the new infrastructure.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Contracted to assist the Coca-Cola Company with relocating the West Coast Columbia Pictures Data Center to a newly constructed facility. My role was the project coordinator with responsibilities for relocating an IBM FEP and all its T1 trunks, SNA/SDLC lines, controllers, terminals and remote RJE to the new location. This was a very challenging position with all deadlines and expectations met. I was then asked to relocate to the Coca-Cola office in NJ to assist in a network documentation project.
