Having been a Fellow Member for over 20 years, I have taken up voluntary work to assist the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK) in furthering its activities in India and in assisting/ mentoring young members/ prospective members for membership of the Institution especially from the Indian Railways.

Introduced the concept of contract mining; profitably reopened closed underground mine, implemented ERP across all four production units; prepared strategic 10-year road map with focus on mining as the core activity; improved turnover and profitability leading to award of the status of 'mini ratna' to the Company by Govt. of India
