Have been advising Shriram Life, a leading life insurance company in India on a number of projects for the last three years.

I was heading a multiple products marketing company of the prestigious LIC family. Our product basket includes home loans and mortgages, life insurance, general insurance, term deposits and mutual funds. The company is making rapid strides towards becoming the most preferred financial solutions provider.

As Executive Director I was responsible for all matters related to the Board of LIC of India. This included, among other things, managing the interface with the regulator, IRDAI and also with Government of India and various committees of the Parliament. I was also the Chief Compliance Officer of the Corporation. In addition I headed the CSR wing of LIC through the designated body, Golden Jubilee Foundation.

As head of Marketing for the Zone I was responsible for all activities related to retail distribution of LIC's financial products. I supervised the multi-tier distribution network at the Divisional, Branch and Satellite office levels. My key responsibilities included building up the sales teams, skill and competency development of the individuals working in the team at various levels and strategic interventions to achieve the business targets and goals.

I was Regional Manager (Pension and Group Schemes) for the Eastern Zone of LIC of India. In this role I was heading the Group Business of the company in nine states in the Eastern part of India, dealing with corporate clients and assisting them in carrying out their statutory liabilities like payment of Gratuity and other superannuation benefits to their employees. We also offer Group pension products through regular funding and a variety of annuities. Before that, I was Regional Manager (OS) for one year during which period, I was responsible for providing back office support to the sales and operations teams by way of provision of required essentials, payroll administration, tax-administration and employee benefits.

Headed a company set up by LIC for promoting payment cards solution. I finalized and executed a co-branded credit card offering in partnership with Axis Bank, one of India’s leading Banks. Launched the card through a massive campaign and, starting with seven major locations in India, the card was further rolled out at a large number of tier II and tier III cities. The business is on course to achieving a portfolio of half a million active cards with very negligible delinquency level.

Was heading the operations in largest division of LIC in geographic area - covering Kolkata city, North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Murshidabad and Andaman & Nicobar.

Had the honour of heading LIC's largest division of LIC in volume of revenue with a sophisticated customer profile of a metropolitan city.

As the head of an overseas office of a Corporation having headquarters in India, I was handling end-to-end responsibility for the operations. This included development and procurement of new business, customer service, management of the life fund and matters related to finance, valuation and regulatory returns. I was an 'Approved Person', with FSA, the regulator for the functions: Chief Executive(CF3), Apportionment and Oversight(CF8), Compliance Oversight(CF10) and Responsible for Insurance Mediation
