    The work relates to development of complex Li based phosphates (LiFePO4) and oxides (doped LiCoO2) for rechargeable Lithium ion batteries using solution plasma spray deposition. The same method has been used for deposition of solid electrolytes of Li-Al-Ti-Phosphate for use in solid state and Li air batteries.This new approach makes use of solution precursors to deposit film based cathodes on current collectors. The method offers unique advantages such as direct deposition and large area films in high throughput. The cathodes and solid electrolytes are made of nanoparticulate matrix and exhibit unique electrochemical properties.
