This has been wonderful experience in building up the teams with right talent and laying down proper structure with Category Model for Capex and Cluster Model from MRO to successfully manage spend of about Rs 1500 cr with team Size of 29.Recently lead the complete transformation of procurement with more refined processes and moving to complete digital platform from P2P (Requisition to Payment). It is really satisfying to see the entire processed going paperless. The surrounding infrastructure and environment is still not conducive for this concept. It is a dream come true achievement as entire capex which is too complex to manage is also on this platform that includes technical rounds.I reckon my current role as the most challenging one as the timelines are most compressed (almost 1/4th of industry standard) and still we deliver on other core procurement priorities. My team deals with about 4000 active suppliers while managing this spend. Once again I am able to demonstrate calmness and rhythm in the VUCA environment , deliver higher spend every year with lesser resources and increase capability of the team which reflects in First Time Right delivery of projects for quality and timeline. Almost 100% delivery on quality and significant improvement in on time delivery of goods from 60% about 3 years before to more than 90% now. Another milestone has been conceptualising, designing, enabling and transitioning procurement function to Global Business Services with remote operations where Indirect procurement is the first to go live.

This was significant move for me with first time experience with chemical industry and manage A class raw material for formulation plants. Major achievements have been;1) Streamline inventory at one of the locations from drastic variations (sometimes 3 months) to almost 15 days consistent2) Develop many products meeting quality requirements with R&D approvals to reduce dependency on single supplier3) 99.5% on time delivery of products with control on inventory4) Consistently surpass budget savings target5) Enhance supplier relationship and engagement through issue resolutions, on time payment and system improvements at supplier end
