In simple language, we do similar things to a car as interior designers do to their customers' houses.     In May 2013, I got chance to work with Mr. Kishore Biyani, Group CEO & MD. In this role, I was working on innovations which covered projects like prepaid cards, digitization of gift vouchers, gifting business etc. During this period, the idea of Big Bazaar Direct was born. A small team of myself and Vivek Biyani was created under the guidance of Mr. Kishore Biyani. With my all round experience, I was given overall responsibility to manage this dream project. Worked on all aspects which included pilot roll out, business model, brand name, interface design, agreement closure etc.With more than 9 months R&D the project finally kicked off. Got the core team together on SCM, category, marketing etc. and the company was formed. This was just like a start-up company where each and everything was to be seen closely. Post closure of all the basics, I started my role as product head which included technology platform selection to implementation of the same. Worked very closely to design the android application, UI and UX which would be the face of this business.Being a unique business, Big Bazaar Direct required setting up 'system models' to enroll/select franchisees, set sales strategy, strategize training & development & retention plan etc. Played multiple roles in setting up various departments. While heading product role, I also took up the most challenging department of franchisee management, which was first of its kind for the group. I headed this program till we successfully signed first 150+ franchisees and recruited sales team of 30+ including zonal heads. Post this I diverged into heading sales as we needed innovations for this unique business model. Post settling the sales department, currently I’m heading Strategy, Product (e-Commerce) and overlooking Category department.

    In Sept 2009, I got an opportunity to work with Future Bazaar, Future Group’s e-Commerce initiative. Initiated by heading Payments business, wherein I also extended my responsibilities to implementing various projects successfully while reporting to Mr. Vivek Biyani, Director. These projects included Cash On Delivery, payment pages, PG integrations, card EMI, Bajaj Finance, Future Capital, multi payment mode, e-Wallet etc. Along with this also implemented the loyalty programs of group like Payback. Played the product role for these projects which included BRD, SOP and getting it implemented along with Tech team.Thereafter I started heading business development, where I managed strategic tie ups with Mid Day and Times of India for reader offer -deals. Also implemented extended warranty as revenue generator project with Tata AIG. These project saw me as an end to end responsibility resource, from getting vendors and closing the deal, to handling legal , commercials , system implementation aspects as well. Here, I also played key role of Product Head. The entire implementation was done on in-house platform "TINLA". All the projects had their respective BRD and SOPs to be created ,for which I worked closely with ethnology team to implement post testing etc.Meanwhile, our CFO for Future Bazaar and Future eCommerce Infrastructure Ltd. left, I was given additional responsibility to manage these two companies as CFO along with the payments business and business development role. This gave me a 360 degree experience along with the product and business development role.

    Joined Future Group in 2004 (first job) as Senior Executive in Corporate Planning department reporting to head Corporate Planning Mr. C.P. Toshniwal who is now CFO of Future Lifestyle Fashion Limited and the group’s board member.Started working on Capex project management which covered the Capex management , vendor management and managing term loans. It was all in tally which later moved to Oracle. Joined as team member and later headed the department with more than 20 team member. Was heading project finance and handled bank term loans and lease funding.SAP was introduced in the company, where I was given an opportunity to head the SAP Project module implementation in consultation with SAP labs. Within a year's time, we successfully implemented the Project module of SAP which covered the work flow of Capex approval, budgeting, PO/GRN, controls and asset module. This time I became the youngest authorized signatory and managed closing the asset gross block of 2000 crores+. More than 50 SOPs were made for this and then handed over to the dept with complete training. During this, I worked very closely with Mr. Sunil Biyani, Project Director.Meanwhile, I created Fixed Asset Cell which was responsible for entire asset creation to tagging and audit. Implemented various checks and controls in system and on field as well.Post SAP implementation, worked on implementing Import module in SAP. Worked with Mr. Anil Biyani on designing the import company of group Whole Wealth Ltd. and within six months, SAP Import module system was implemented. These projects had resounding success & with many such successful projects under my belt, I decided to move to a business role.
