About Satish Subedi

A Chartered Accountant and Public Financial Management (PFM) expert with over 14 years of experience across multiple sectors, I specialize in fiscal federalism, taxation, and the implementation of Nepal’s Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS) and Nepal Public Sector Accounting Standard (NPSAS). From 2018 to 2020, I served as a PFM Expert at the Department of Urban Development, Ministry of Urban Development, contributing to $97.8 million ADB-funded Environmental Infrastructure Project. From 2021 to 2024, I was a Financial Management Specialist at the Town Development Fund (TDF), where I contributed to major initiatives, including the EU-funded Municipal Finance and Capacity Building Program and the Urban Water Supply Project across 100 municipalities of Nepal.Some of my major consulting activities include advising at FCGO in 2021 to implement NPSAS for preparing Consolidated Financial Statements, a key milestone of the PEFA program, and integrating new systems with CGAS, LMIS, Sutra, and RIMS to enhance financial reporting in Nepal. I also drafted the Public Assets Management Framework for the Ministry of Health and Population under the Global Fund.
