Recently retired from Anton Sattler, Inc., a firm that was established in 1891 by my great-grandfather, a German immigrant who arrived in New York with only his skillset and sheer determination. Each generation that has followed has worked hard to maintain and enhance the company's premier, international reputation for the very finest high-end residential painting. During our third century in business, we continued to paint, stencil, polish, glaze, gild, hang wallcovering and restore rooms for our discerning clients as we always have: with infinite care, attention to detail and pride. The company specialized in straight painting as well as a range of decorative custom work which has been featured often in a variety of influential trade and interior design publications. The firm's team of international craftsmen are highly professional, tidy and courteous. References have judged our work uniformly to be the very best and while costly, worth the price. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic effects it has had on the New York metropolitan area, we were forced to make the extremely difficult decision to pause operations. We are currently open to discussions regarding transferring/selling the company's name as a symbol of expertise, customer service, and company identity to interested parties.
