QUASAR (Quality Automation Services for Alumina Refinery) is an alliance between Alcoa & Honeywell for the seven ALCOA Refineries worldwide. Key Responsibilities• Manage Project delivery including Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Resources, Communication, Procurement, Risk and Project integration.• Multiple operation technology projects in different disciplines e.g. DCS infrastructure, Network infrastructure, Advance Process Control applications and Safety system.• Global project execution which includes engineering and testing led by a team in Perth and onsite deployment in coordination with global site teams. Key Achievements• Successfully delivered the Global Technology refresh project for 7 refineries, replacing 514 Servers & workstations along with deployment of Standard Operating Environment (SOE) software, which achieved global standardization for the first time. Significant cost saving (20% below estimated cost) through global procurement strategies and common engineering & deployment. • Led the efforts to resolve critical product issues identified during testing before site roll out. This involved coordination with the Global Technical Support (GTAC) & Development Engineering (DE) Teams.• Internal global recognition award for the exemplary delivery of the Global Technology refresh and Global Network refresh projects while maintaining the project objectives of time, cost and quality along with ensuring higher customer satisfaction.• Pinjarra Green Liquor Analyzer project (5 million), delivered on time and below budgeted cost during GFC. Worked as Lead Engineer for Infrastructure team of QUASAR.
