Have over 19 years of substantial experience managing large-scale WASH programs and projects at international, national and grassroots levels. I have gained experience in managing grant partners of WASH project in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. With my technical and programmatic expertise, I have capacitated more than 25 International and national level civil society organisations to transform their WASH programming into an inclusive and sustainable approach. I have developed different tools and mechanisms for WASH program management including M&E, stakeholder readiness assessment tool, the process of collective learning and planning, and water system sustainability assessment tools that have been taken up by organisations in India and South Asia. I have demonstrated sustainable WASH models with a unique service delivery system integrated with public and private sector players. Being a core committee member at the Ministry / Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, I have immensely contributed in the analysis and design of policy and plan for the National Rural Drinking Water Supply Program for the Government of India. Also, support various state governments in India to develop an implementation strategy for National Rural Drinking Water Supply Program. I have also represented the policy revision committee of the Ministry of Water Resource, Government of India and provided immense support in redesigning the rural WASH program to reduce the pollution load to rivers from rural sources. I represent various national-level WASH networks and coalitions in India such as the National School WASH coalition, and National Sanitation Coalition and provide advisory support to member organsaitions to transform their WASH programming into an inclusive and sustainable approach. At GIZ, I have developed WASH policy for their India and Bangladesh programs and led the pilot intervention. Based on the successful pilot of the WASH plan, I have supported the state government in India to include WASH in their food and nutrition security program. I have provided leadership to the thematic taskforce of “Rural WASH” under Asia Sector Network of Natural Resource and Rural Development (SNRD) as Speaker to facilitate the multilateral and multi-institution dialogue for inclusive and sustainable WASH services.
