In this role, I lead a team of 5 Data Scientists and drive innovation and research around feature engineering, identifying credit risk use cases of new Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms and creating automated tools to increase efficiency across Data Science practices. In addition to this, my job involves identifying orthogonal external data sources (bureaus and vendors) and integrating their products into models to improve credit risk assessment of the commercial portfolio.

In this role was responsible for building Credit Risk models for Amex Small Business portfolio using state of the art ML techniques. These models were instrumental in automating credit decisions like transactions approve/decline, extension of new credit, etc. in the post-COVID environment.

Evaluated the reasons for volatility in credit risk model scores of American Express (GCP) clients and recommended improvements to the existing risk evaluation model.

I led the steel reinforcement department where I studied the structural drawings and designed bar bending schedules for the G+6 storied building including foundation.
