I was given a double promotion and assumed the role of Content Strategist in June, 2017. As a social creative lead on integrated social and digital campaigns for brands such as HSBC, Nestle, Hilton, KFC & Electrolux, I developed innovative and effective creative work that drives direct business impact. • Ogilvy & Mather
    Content Specialist
    Ogilvy & Mather May 2015 - Jun 2017
    Singapore
I was initially responsible for conceptualising monthly content calendars, executing social campaigns and account servicing for Nestle's portfolio of brands in Singapore which included Milo, Nestle Infant Nutrition, NESCAFE Dolce Gusto, Purina, Nescafe and Nestle Corporate. I was instrumental in building client relationships which led to them trusting my recommendations to introduce new formats (especially videos and dynamic content) , exploring new methods of engaging with their fans and to try unconventional approaches for their campaigns. I then began operating exclusively as a Creative and championed bigger & bolder ideas within the digital ecosystem, and developed exciting work to launch and reinvigorate brands, which clients loved. My thinking and ideas played a key role in helping the Social team win big accounts such as KFC, Electrolux, HSBC, Hilton and Sadia. The creative department then evolved around me, from being a one man team, to a team of 3 which included an Art Director and designer. We established the 'Social Content Studio', a social-first creative content production powerhouse that delivered at half the average industry turnaround time with near realtime editing capabilities. Soon, I was the creative lead of a growing team that included photographers, videographers and influencers. Beyond my everyday work, I became the resident Emcee for company events such the Sports Day, the Annual General Meetings and internal Town Halls.Awards:1. Institute of Advertising Singapore Hall of Fame Awards 2016Category: Rising Star - Digital & SocialAchievement: Finalist2. Masterclass 2015 - Ogilvy's special training programme for junior talentAchievements: Best Speaker Best Team2. 'Monkey on the Moon' Award 2016WinnerThis is an internal award and I was voted as the winner by all the employees in the agency. This award is given to the person who reaches for the ridiculously audacious and raises the bar to previously never-imagined heights.

    Gurgaon, India
  • Newslaundry
    Writer & Director
    Newslaundry Feb 2013 - Mar 2014
    New Delhi Area, India
I conceptualised, scripted, directed and handled the post-production for 31 episodes of ‘Clothesline’, a weekly satirical wrap of the news and its coverage. This show was my primary responsibility and for this I consumed more news than you could possibly imagine on all forms of media, always looking at it with a critical eye and then donning the role of a satirist. I sat on edits, cut timelines, thought up value-add graphics and eventually saw it through till upload. Another weekly deliverable was 'NL Lite', a show with parodies on news, politics and current affairs which I cowrote, directed and featured in. This was less serious, more satire and spoof for which I sang and acted as well. I coordinated with Facebook and NDTV to create graphics and branding for ‘Candidates 2014’, the first Facebook Talks Live event in India with senior political leaders conducted in a townhall format.I helped with the event management and guest coordination for two of the Facebook Talks held in New Delhi. It was the first live broadcast event that I was involved in and it was a great learning experience working in such a setting. Apart from writing scripts shows, I also wrote 6 articles on topics other than politics because of my interest and knowledge of technology and sport, and hence added variety on the website. I conducted interviews and got bytes to add a visual element to some of my pieces. I was responsible for graphics, branding and event coordination for ‘Media’s PH Value’, a Public Health campaign we organised to raise awareness of malpractices in the tobacco industry and the role that the media played. The highlight of the event was whistleblower, Dr Jeffrey Wigand whom we were able to fly down to New Delhi to talk to the audience about his personal experience in the tobacco industry
  • The Indian Post
    Associate Editor
The Indian Post May 2012 - Jul 2012
    London, United Kingdom
I was asked to conceptualise and produce a realty magazine for the 5th annual HDFC Indian Property Exhibition in London. I researched economic trends in India with specific focus on real estate development and did my basic groundwork to shortlist the hot-spots as well as lesser known areas that could prove to be a profitable investment in the future. I then compiled a city-wise guide with an aim to inform the readers about past and present realty trends in the given regions so as to present a real and holistic picture of the residential real estate market for the benefit of potential investors and homeowners. I liaised with property developers, HDFC personnel and the graphic editors to ensure dimensional specifications of print ads and text based content were met and delivered on time as I was working on a tight deadline of three weeks. I attended the property fair and interacted with builders, buyers and the organisers and wrote a review for The Indian Post newspaper.
  • Art In Tanzania
    Marketing Intern
Art In Tanzania Apr 2011 - May 2011
Dar Es Salaam & Arusha, Tanzania
I helped set up a unique adventure package at Lake Manyara which included cycling down the western escarpment of the Great Rift Valley followed by a night safari at Lake Manyara. (Art In Tanzania at the time, were one of the only two organisations in Tanzania to have been authorised to conduct a night safari). The package attracted volunteers immediately and brought in $600 to the NGO in the first week. I worked on a marketing campaign which I called, ‘Heart In Tanzania’ that included producing an 8 minute documentary, designing a logo and conducting events to increase social media visibility and local participation. I managed to film and edit the documentary on a local metal artist, to encourage art and its trade locally. Due to financial and legal constraints that were beyond my control, the documentary was never uploaded. A lesson I learnt in documentary film-making is to sort out the terms and conditions before filming begins. I also assisted the team leader in coordinating projects and safaris for a group of 11 volunteers in Arusha, Moshi and Dar es Salaam. I spent one morning taking a science class with a special focus on planting seeds and the cultivation of saplings to a large group of young children from a local school nearby.
