Greetings!Welcome to my profile. This is Saud,Currently, I am working in Rashid Hospital located in Dubai, UAE under trauma and neuro teams encountering patients with closed/open, displaced/non displaced, comminuted/simple fractures, polytraumatic cases undergoing emergency open or closed reduction surgeries with immediate post operative rehabilitation needs. In addition to this, I am helping patients to gain independence in transfer and ambulation who suffered from spinal and pelvic fractures managed conservatively or through surgical intervention. Reassessment upon discharge and providing outpatient referral for patients who need long term rehabilitation is another part of my work.As a inpatient therapist I have had the opportunity to treat acute ischemic stroke, traumatic brain injury and neurosurgery cases who are referred for mobilization and expected to recover with improved functional mobility outcomes, gait pattern, sitting/standing balance and muscle strength.Retrospectively, I have served as a physiotherapist in Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital which is a JCI (Joint Commission International) accredited facility to treat patients suffering from cancer irrespective of their ability to pay.In addition to that, I have trained paramedic nursing and healthcare staff on "Lifting and Handling of Patients" as part of their IOP (Introduction and training program) in the facility. I have been engaged in pediatric focus groups along with other disciplines (psychologists and nutritionists) for cancer children and their parents. Moreover, I have provided home physiotherapy services to patients with various health conditions including but not limited to stroke, spinal cord injury, post chemotherapy weakness and other chronic neurological disorders.I am certified in BLS (Basic Life Support) multiple times during my tenure at Shaukat Khanum Hospital with a mandatory practical exam at the end of the course as part of my annual appraisal and training requirements. I am an active member of "Pakistan Physical Therapy Association" and a Licensed physiotherapist in Dubai Health Authority.
