Business Development Executive for the CIS Region In charge of business development activities for the Alvi organization and to create a foothold for the organization throughout the region. This includes meeting with business owners to develop relationships for mutual cooperation, conducting field research and perform analysis to see which particular items can be viable for trading either for import into the member states of the CIS or for export from there to Pakistan. Identifying distressed assets or those in need of a partner due to lack of operational competency and then organizing and coordinating necessary activities including documentation to catalyze the formation of the partnership. Meeting with members of government to develop relationnships for the organization and for clarification regarding regulatory environment and how to navigate that environment. Creating strong relationships with the banking industry in the region for project financing . Arrangement of visas for company executives and for any consultants and business partners visiting.

The sole organizational representative for meetings with Tajik ministers of different departments. Led a team to acquire all necessary licenses for operating a leather tannery in Tajikistan. This included registration of company, meeting with governmental departments to understand and fulfill license and certification requirements; acquire a license to invite foreign workers, arrange the required visas, and the necessary import and export certifications.Make sure all operational procedures complied with local laws including environmental regulations, as well as providing suitable accommodation and access to healthcare for foreign workers. Prepared business proposals and assisted Managing Director in meetings to create potential partnerships for trade between Pakistan and Central Asia. This was an extension of the US-AID PREIA activities. Some examples would be OJSC tobacco, an oil refinery, a cotton mill and a high quality carpet manufacturer.

Led the initiative to create a trading partnership with Talco Aluminum (the largest aluminum manufacturing plant in Central Asia) to import high grade aluminum ingots from Tajikistan to Pakistan. As well as the import of specialized aluminum cables. Represented the organization in all meetings with US-AID PREIA's initiative to develop and expand trade between Pakistan and Central Asia (Our organization was one of 12 organizations from Pakistan selected for this program.) This included participating in meetings domestically and internationally, providing feedback, speaking publicly/speeches, in forums organized by US-AID with owners of local businesses in Central Asia as well as ministers of concerned departments. Furthermore communicated directly with the head of US-AID PREIA to provide feedback of the advantages and challenges of developing business and trade with Central Asia.

-In-charge of of creating and maintaining institutional and corporate client database.- Planning, developing and implementing effective corporate relations department procedures. -Coordinating and developing new ventures. - Coordinating with foreign and local governmental representatives to develop joint venture projects in a private to government capacity and in regard to F.D.I.

In addition to the standard roles and duties of the position : Led the initiative to make sure the business was ISO 9001 certified. Worked with an appropriate agency to introduce and implement ISO quality management system into our organization. And was in charge of maintaining these protocols and procedures after the certification was awarded. As well as make sure procedures were followed and 3rd party audits were passed to maintain certification.Was in charge of implementing neccesary procedures to make sure production facility complied with all safety codes and attained the neccessary licenses to operate. Was made in charge of purchasing appropriate safety equipment and hiring qualified experts to train staff members of protocols and procedures in case of emergency.

Worked with senior managers to implement a standardized quality management system. Performed hiring of necessary personnel. Led a team that was successfully awarded tenders for clients/international brands such as Sheraton Hotel and Mariott Hotel.Various other tasks
