About Saurabh Kadam

I am a postdoctoral scholar at the InQubator for Quantum Simulation at the University of Washington, Seattle.My research interests include developing Hamiltonian formulation of lattice gauge theories suitable for classical and quantum simulations, quantum computing for quantum field theories, finite volume methodology for lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD), QCD thermodynamics, and high energy physics.I completed my Ph.D. in theoretical physics at the University of Maryland, College Park with thesis titled "Theoretical Developments in Lattice Gauge Theory for Applications in Double-Beta Decay Processes and Quantum Simulation".So far, I have worked on obtaining scattering amplitudes of double beta decay processes from lattice QCD, deriving Hamiltonian formulation of QCD suitable for quantum simulation, behavior of dense quark matter in strong magnetic fields, and collider phenomenology for dark matter models.

    My responsibilities involve carrying out independent as well as collaborative research in the field of theoretical physics. My primary research interest involves studying the strong force that governs the interactions between neutrons, protons and other hadrons. The theory that models this strong force is called quantum chromodynamics (QCD). I use the methods in lattice QCD and quantum computing for solving frontier questions in this subject in a hope of deepening our understaing of the nature.

    We took up a minimal fermionic mixing DM model of a standard model SU(2) singlet and a doublet, and updatedthe allowed parameter space under relic density criteria and recent direct search experiment, PandaX. We studied in detail the prospect of discovering it at the Large Hadron Collider for multilepton final state with 2, 3 and 4 leptons using Monte Carlo simulation methods. We obtained that this model is difficult to detect in future LHC runs at high luminosity due to heavy background from SM processes. But the significant region of the parameter space can still be tested for displaced charged vertex at LHC. Show less

    We calculated the neutral pion spectra resulting from the interaction between chiral soliton lattice ground state of neutral pions in a strong magnetic field and dynamical electromagnetic fields. We then performed a low-temperature thermodynamics analysis on this system.
