I am a well rounded [some would disagree] Estimator/Project Manager with over 31 years experience in the industry. I started my career digging trenches for Mr. Walt Brison [RIP] [Raintree Landscape] who mainly did private work at the time. I am a 3rd generation Landscaper and felt the need and had the drive to become an Estimator. In 2011 the opportunity came, you can imagine I jump on it. Estimating is a different animal to say the least, looking at the project from the other side really puts things into perspective!Some will have there opinion on these two types of estimators. 1. the estimator that has an extensive background in the field having hands on experience using that in estimating a project. 2. the estimator that has very little to no field experience and relies on strictly collected data in estimating a project.
