After completing my Bachelor's degree in Sociology, I worked closely with international institutions in Mexico and the United States. I led and supported a national assembly of families of immigrants in Mexico and worked with their communities in the United States. My professional experience includes collaborations with United Nations' offices, universities in Mexico and the United States like UNAM, CUNY, NYU; and non for profit organizations in North and Central America. In 2018 I moved to Madison Wisconsin and strengthen my communication and social skills. I completed the ESL program in Madison Collage, also a finance and customer service class with the same institution and a local community center, Centro Hispano. During the quarantine caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, I worked to provide resources to Spanish speaking families. I worked with over 100 families to support them in their housing situation and distributed over 80 thousands dollars in rental assistance. In more recent times I have deepen and broaden my Racial Equity practice. 2021 is the second year that I facilitate Community Circles for the Racial Justice Summit that the YWCA Madison organizes every year. I have also completed the Racial Justice Series that the organization offers. Other of my experiences with racial justice is the support that I provided to Amplify Madison, a group of women who leads multiple organizations in Wisconsin. Now I am focused on teaching and community services for BIPOC. I coordinate and teach in the YWeb Career Academy Program. This is a training program that support participants in developing skills in web development and employability skills. To make the program possible, I coordinate and lead participants, instructors and companies that are part of the program. I offer support and case management to students and also participate in the logistics and reporting.
