As a psychology educator, researcher, and content creator with over 18 years of experience in further and higher education, I've dedicated my career to making complex psychological concepts accessible to a wide audience. I hold a PhD in Psychology from The University of Manchester, where my research focused on the relationship between romantic attachment and social support.In 2007, I founded Simply Psychology, where I serve as content writer and editor-in-chief. This platform has grown to become a trusted resource for psychology students and enthusiasts worldwide, allowing me to reach and educate a global audience.I have been referenced in numerous media outlets and organizations, including The New York Times, Psychology Today, Washington Post, The Guardian, Harvard University, and CNN.My academic journey includes an MRes in Experimental Psychology with Data Science from The University of Manchester, a PGCE in Further, Higher and Adult Education from the University of Bolton, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.My teaching experience spans various institutions. From 2002 to 2020, I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Manchester, leading undergraduate psychology tutorials and seminars, and supporting lab lectures and statistics teaching. Before this, I lectured at Wigan and Leigh College from 2003 to 2013, teaching A-level psychology.As a researcher, I've contributed to the field through publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Clinical Psychology and the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships.
