As the IPA's Digital Media Production Manager, I oversee all aspects of video content production. Working within the creative Hub team, I have developed a versatile skillset ranging from producing, directing, cinematography, editing and sound design. The introduction of new video ideas have increased output across the IPA's Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram pages. From commencement of my employment until present, original IPA videos have garnered over 5 million views across all platforms. In 2019, my video featuring Peter Ridd, directly increased more awareness about the issue of freedom of speech across the Australian media. As a direct result of ‘The Human Cost of Red Tape’ video, Craig Prosser won back his trucking business. Further, the ‘What I Wasn’t Told’ animated video series I created has totalled more than 500,000 views.After being promoted from ‘Videographer’ to ‘Digital Media Production Manager’ in 2019, my responsibilities grew significantly. I project managed the design, set up and acquisition of equipment required for the IPA’s broadcast media studio and in charge of utilising, managing and maintaining professional broadcast equipment and high standards. I encouraged and implemented hosting of live webinar Zoom events broadcasts to a large audience, along with the ability to stream to Facebook Live. I thoroughly enjoy solving problems with new and innovative technologies. Despite the challenges of remote work as a result of the pandemic, I have continued to record, film and edit weekly IPA podcasts, resulting in over 300,000 downloads (over 300+ episodes).I am passionate about creating media that both tells a story and is engaging; and driven to produce meaningful content that evokes emotion, thought, and inspires positive change.
