Hi! 👋🏾 I’m Saúl (pronounced Sa-ool), a Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for Deep Learning and making an impact through data-driven solutions.My journey started in hydrology, where I earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s with a commitment to improving access to clean water. Working as an engineer, I discovered a deeper passion for data as a tool for decision-making, leading me back to grad school and into a NASA-partnered Ph.D. program focused on using machine learning for water management. This experience sparked my enthusiasm for AI, time series analysis, image processing, and the potential of deep learning to drive real-world change.Since then, I’ve applied machine learning across industries, creating solutions that turn complex data into meaningful insights. My recent focus has been on advanced language modeling, building applications in conversational AI, information retrieval (RAG), and predictive modeling to address real challenges. Along the way, I’ve launched AI-driven tools, developed scalable pipelines that handle massive datasets, and led initiatives to streamline decision-making for end users.I approach every project with a technical and strategic mindset, collaborating closely with stakeholders to identify core needs and build AI solutions that make a difference.
