I have several years of experience developing software with different environments and programming languages (C, C++, Delphi, among others) using both object-oriented or procedural approaches and setting up complex automatic test environments.An analytic mind characterizes my personality and way of being. I am outgoing and social and have always been interested in technical issues. This in combination with my formal education makes my technical knowledge very broad. MS SQL Server is the DBMS I have used most but I also worked with PostgreSQL and with PDI (Pentaho Data Integration, a powerful ETL tool used to migrate databases). I also have experience processing spatial data from laser scanners.TeamCity was the Continuous Integration tool I used most, mainly to setup and run automatic tests developed in RAD Studio. The test environment was usually complex, including different hardware and software components. CAN protocols were often a main topic and write code to mock ECUs was usually needed. I have a lot of experience with shell scripts in Windows and Linux Debian.In different opportunities I have been regularly working with tools as ClearQuest, Jira, Git, PeerReview and VSTS in agile teams.My main skills and interest areas are object-oriented programming, databases, communications protocols, real-time systems, and automatic control (among others).As a freelance I have developed specific applications for many different requirements, mostly using C++. Several of them related with the processing of data obtained with measuring instruments (GPS, laser scanner, planting monitor). As final work of my studies, I developed an application to control a material testing machine (Instron), show data in real-time with zoom, pan and many other functions.Besides working on personal projects on my spare time, I like a lot outdoors like hiking, mountain bike and windsurf and I also have previous sailing experience from crossing the Atlantic.
