I have joined the team at Wood as a Instrumentation and Control Project Desinger. In this new role, I am excited to explore and tackle the challenges associated with the design and implementation of advanced control and instrumentation systems.This new position represents an opportunity to expand my professional horizons and contribute to innovative projects in the sector. I am eager to apply my skills and learn from a team committed to excellence, as we work together to develop solutions that optimize and transform industrial processes.

I worked in the electrical engineering and automation department, participating in design and automation projects for wastewater treatment, sewage, and water purification plants.My main tasks were:-Process automation and configuration of control systems to optimize equipment performance.-Supervision and commissioning of electrical and automation installations, ensuring their correct implementation.-Design and calculation of electrical panels, from single-line and three-line diagrams to control systems, tailored to the needs of each project.-Design of electrical and signal networks, integrating power and communication for equipment and measurement systems.One of my key initiatives was the development of a control system with Siemens Logo 8 PLC, allowing a single Altistart 22 soft starter to control multiple motors. This resulted in significant cost reductions in the panels, with savings of €1,300 per starter.Additionally, on my own initiative, I implemented routing plans for signals and control loops, from the field to the junction box, and from there to the control room; always ensuring that systems met safety and efficiency requirements.I also created panel drawings, including single-line, three-line, command, and topographic diagrams.In each project, I ensured precise calculations of power, conductor sizing, voltage drops, contactor and relay selection, and proper protection dimensioning for the motors. Depending on the client's specifications, I designed control systems at 12V, 24V, or 220V, with or without PLC controllers as required.My ability to deliver precise and efficient results allowed me to work independently in a short time, earning the trust of my team and enabling my leader to delegate critical tasks to me with full independence.

I started at the company as a CAD draftsman, where I gained experience in the design and projection of electrical networks. As I progressed, I developed technical skills that allowed me to evolve into the role of project designer. During this process, I perfected my mastery of AutoCAD 2D and 3D, reaching an expert level with the creation of dynamic blocks, material lists, drawings, and models with superior detail.My main responsibilities included the design and projection of electrical networks, equipment calculation and selection, and the creation of 2D and 3D drawings and models. Additionally, I learned to use Plant3D and work with BIM methodologies. I also performed reading and design of electrical, signal, and P&ID diagrams, as well as support, platform, and piping drawings.By working in a multidisciplinary environment within the detailed engineering department, I had the opportunity to learn to create piping layouts for gas and steam pipelines for energy and refined product transportation, as well as steam tracing for instruments and the design of civil foundations and instrument supports, including access platforms. One of the most interesting challenges was designing an 8-meter-high platform.However, my main focus was in the area of electricity and instrumentation, where I specialized. I implemented the laying of power and control cables, selected conductors, described materials, and chose electrical trays, conduits, accessories, and cable routing. My autonomy allowed me to take on significant responsibilities, enabling my leader to focus on their specific tasks.One of my greatest achievements was taking charge of the electricity and instrumentation sector for an entire month while my leader was on leave.This growth allowed me to not only develop advanced technical skills but also to provide autonomous and effective solutions.
