Charlotte Works is a private-public partnership bringing together Charlotte area resources to educate, empower and engage Charlotte's underemployed and unemployed workforce to meet current local and global business needs. As Interim Director of Education & Outreach, I was primary facilitator to 20 artists in the AACC's Roundtable Teaching Artist Professional Development Series, a program designed to assist approved artists with learning and developing professional teaching skills in order to utilize their art form to teach CORE curriculum through various art forms in public and private classroom school settings. I provided on-going support to over 65 Roundtable Teaching Artist graduates through creating and booking paid events in public and private schools, events at AACC, as well as other community organizations. AACC's Roundtable Teaching Artists impacted thousands of public and private school-aged students and hundreds of adults throughout the Charlotte Region. I was also, AACC's liaison to other art and museum institutes in Charlotte Region.
