And I love collaborating at the forefront and helping to shape the direction of education and outreach.My knowledge of civil rights and preventive law for education is broad and deep. Before coming to TNG as a Partner in 2008, I had built a 25-year career as a university administrator, including as a student affairs dean. I entered law school following my career as a university administrator, going on to serve as Senior Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio and its 53 public colleges and universities, and as General Counsel at a large urban community college.Recognized nationally for my high-powered contribution to the higher education world, I am a licensed practicing attorney in Ohio, an expert in preventive and civil rights law for education, and a founding member of TNG’s two professional organizations, ATIXA and NABITA. I’ve written several books and chapters on the First Amendment and Student Conduct, and am especially proud of the book I co-authored, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵: 𝘈 𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘈𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴.Throughout my career, I’ve managed, piloted and mentored large staffs.
