SFW helps configuration and management of local and remote storage attached to any system whilst the system is online.Product Features• Manage domain-wide storage from a single console.• Create and configure software RAID while systems remain online andavailable.• Optimize storage system performance via online capacity monitoring andstorage load balancing.Role• Worked on volume and application level snapshot and restore features, involving VSS .• Developed IP (networking) and Disk (Storage) Agents in Alibaba Cloud and GCP environment in Python integrated with cloud APIs to facilitate clustering and High Availability and replication in cloud environment.• Scheduler module for taking timely snapshots and recovery mechanism .• Development of Cluster Shared Volumes support for SFW CVM volumes.• Worked on integration of the product with Microsoft Azure and AWS

HAPRO (Hitachi Application Protector) for OracleThe purpose of project was to develop a Snapshot Management tool for Oracle Databases installed on Hitachi Storages (SAN, NAS) having snapshot/mirroring capabilities.Role• Development of process level locking and unlocking mechanism in C++ for multi- processor applications, using semaphores in Linux• Development of device handler module to support storages hosted on LVM Devices.• Cache and configuration management using SQLite and file handling in Linux/C++.• Process scheduler module development using ‘at’ and ‘cron’ in Linux.• Developed POCs which were useful for project designing, framingalgorithms and approaches to be undertaken.• Developed and handled component ownership of major snapshotmanagement• Features like create, mount/unmount, and revert snapshot.• Development of automated testing suites and documentation for thediscussed projectHAPRO for Microsoft-ApplicationsThe purpose of project was to develop a Snapshot Management tool for Microsoft technologies installed on Hitachi Storages (SAN, NAS) having snapshot/mirroring capabilities.• To develop a generic module using Microsoft Volume Shadow CopyService (VSS) infrastructure which can communicate with Microsoft application framework through HAPRO interface for snapshot management.• Backup, recovery and data protection software that is easy to use, snapshot based and application consistent.• Optimized for Microsoft Exchange, MS SQL and SharePoint.• Off-loaded host server backup overhead with storage snapshots.Role• Prepare design and development of product features• Worked on Exchange DAG (Database availability group) servers andSQL MSFC (Microsoft fail-over cluster) clustering.
