I was with Siemens VDO Automotive at its Bangalore HQ as an intern in the After Sales Market & was responsible for conducting a pan-India research for introducing Siemens VDO's three international product categories in the Indian after sales market, with more than 20 products in the kitty. The successful completion of the project helped Siemens VDO launch these products with certain design changes & reap multi million profits.I had also carried out a market survey for Ford India, to which Siemens VDO Automotive was a preferred vendor and had supplied 3 key components for its Ford Fiesta variant. This resulted in redesigning of these components to suit to the Indian driving conditions.I was awarded the "Best Summer Internship Award" by the ICFAI Business School Alumni Federation (IBSAF) amongst more than 50 shortlisted projects submitted to the IBSAF Award committee. Based on my performance during those 5 months, I was also offered a Pre-placement Offer from Siemens VDO.
