As a recent graduate of Govt. Stanley Medical College, a highly esteemed institution in India, developed a deep understanding of medical emergencies and the importance of maintaining composure under pressure, as well as honing my clinical skills. I also assisted in various surgeries, including open appendectomies and open hernioplasties. I also gained experience working in the Accident and Emergency department in the private sector in India, where I performed various procedures under supervision. This experience provided me with a comprehensive understanding of acute medical and surgical issues and taught me how to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior physicians and other departments within the hospital. This experience has significantly enhanced my decision-making abilities and clinical skills. I am currently pursuing additional experience through a clinical attachment in Medicine at Gateshead NHS Trust, where I have gained insight into the workings of a hospital in the NHS, and developed my communication skills. Through shadowing various consultants, I have gained an understanding of the role of both individuals and teams in improving patient care. Additionally, I have observed junior doctors working in the emergency department, providing me with a further understanding of the workings of an emergency department in the NHS.My participation in research and presentations on various medical topics, including delirium, during my medical school training and my leadership role in a symposium on Mirror Neurons in Neurology, demonstrate my commitment to staying informed on the latest advancements in the field. Furthermore, as an organizer for International Undergraduate Conferences and Cultural festivals, I have had the opportunity to work and interact with a wide array of people from all walks of life. Additionally, I am working on an Audit project at Gateshead NHS trust. As a photographer, I have received recognition with two state-level awards. My experiences as an avid traveler have also helped me to develop my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and empathize with patients. These activities have helped me face the challenges in my personal and professional life.I believe I have the motivation and commitment to contribute to meeting the challenges of a career in Medicine. In the future, I aspire to become increasingly involved in patient care and research.
