I have 4+ years of experience in aluminum and cast iron machining with hands-on experience in fixturing and tooling of VMC and HMC machining centers. I was involved in setting up machining processes of new models and parts by performing DFM including selection of machines. I have hands-on experince in setting up machining processes for new models of cylinder head, cylinder block and crankcases. Along with development of new parts and processes, I have also performed process and product quality improvement activities which included involvement of cylinder head valve seat runout from 50 to 30 microns by improving machining process. I have performed machining capacity improvement activities for cylinder head and handlebar by process analysis and optimization and developing new tool geometry within short span of time to meet company business requirements. Being a fast and enthusiastic learner has helped me to improve cylinder block liner ID honing quality by performing detailed study and analysis of plateau honing process and different honing machines. I also have basic experience of HPDC, LPDC and GDP casting processes. I have done CNC programming on a wide range of machining centers including NTC, AMS, Fanuc, Makino machines. I have also performed vendor development activities in which I supported vendor in both quality and productivity related issues and in the process have myself gained more knowledge and skill about turning process. I had taken up research related internships in college because of my aptitude towards critical thinking and problem solving abilities. My experience in machining industry has helped me hone my critical thinking and problem solving capabilities even more which will help me excel in any design and manufacturing environment.
