Welcome to my page! I am a long-time devotee of public service and a staunch believer in the opportunities and possibilities public education and works can offer. I followed my passions through the course of my education and allowed those experiences to enrich my perspectives and actions since graduating. After working in retail through college and graduate school, sharpening my technical and interpersonal skills, I entered public education at Northern Westmoreland Career & Technology Center (NWCTC) as a substitute teacher in 2011. Becoming enamored with the possibilities that technical education offers, I obtained a position as a full-time aide assisting students with special needs and helping them navigate and overcome obstacles on their pathways to success. After serving as an aide for only a year, I was tapped by NWCTC to teach Electronics for 2 years, teaching and facilitating 2 cohorts of students, all of whom passed their final state exam. I then went on to become the first instructor of NWCTC's Networking and Cybersecurity program before entering my current role as Administrative Assistant. Over the last 12 years, I have grown both personally and professionally because of my involvement with NWCTC. Advancing to an organizational role expanded the scope of my experience and enriched my belief that the public can be well-served by institutions such as the one in which I work.
